The Korea Brand Award, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Energy (MOCIE) was initially launched as the Korea DesignĄ¤Brand Award in 2004, but was separated into the Korea Brand Award in order to enhance the expertise of evaluation and to aggressively expand a culture of brand management, and has been managed by the Institute for Industrial Policy Studies (IPS) since 2005.
